You Will Need:
Ingredients-
Front Porch Pantry Mix
2 C. Apple Cider or Apple Juice
1/2 C. Butter ( Room Temp)
1 Egg
1 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 C Butter (Melted- For Topping)
Equipment-
Mixing Bowl
Saucepan
Stovetop
Greased 9 x 5 Loaf Pan
Cooling Rack
Cookie Sheet
Step By Step:
Take your Apple Cider or Apple juice and bring it to a boil (Apple Juice makes it sweeter, and Apple Cider gives more apple flavor). Then allow it to simmer for 20 minutes or until it is reduced by half. When done allow it to cool while the oven preheats.
Add the room temperature butter to the brown sugar included. Beat together until light and fluffy. Once it is fluffy add the eggs and vanilla.and continue to mix.
Then add all of your dry ingredients and the reduced apple cider or apple juice. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.
Baking:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for 50 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
Allow for it to cool for 15 minutes in the pan.
Topping:
After the 15 minutes, put your cooling rack on top of your cookie sheet, then place your bread on top of the cooling rack.
Melt your butter and brush all over the top and sides of the bread.
Then sprinkle the included topping all over the tops and sides of the bread.
Allow to cool for an hour.
